One of my greatest (unreasonable) fears is looking out the window to find a monster leering in at me. The thing looking in the window in panel 4 makes me quaver like a frightened child T_T
Love seeing the new pages. Almost like a serialized graphic novel. Can’t make it out to Cali, but if you visit the Philly area, I will be there!
Great page! I especially love the toys. None of them happen to be made of cardboard, are they?
Same thing for me, Katrina! It’s so easy to imagine something lurking in the darkness when you’re staring at the night, through a window, and all the lights are behind you. :O
I hope Herk and his family make it through this!
aww, I’m working all weekend – have fun!
When I was young, I used to have a semi-recurring dream (nightmare) where I would walk past a window in my home and see a malevolent pair of eyes in a flaming circle staring at me. The flaming circle might have been a head, but I could never really make out anything more, because I was focused on the eyes. We lived in a rural area, so it was pretty dark outside at night, unless there was a full moon. Today’s page fills me with so much dread, I can’t wait until next week to find out what happens. I’m afraid a heavy price will be paid.
I love this comic. It’s so good. I always want to see the next page.
My big sister used to stare at the bedroom window with this look of absolute terror on her face. Guess whose bed was right by the window?
“Quit that! MOMMMMM!”
Poor Herk. There really is something at the window…
I love the second to last panel. The “Nnewt warrior with the withered legs”– how often children (and even many of us adults) put their own insecurities into their fantasies. Such a nice, human touch to this comic.
That villain looks rather cat-like. You always make cats your villains. If I didn’t know you love cats I might be a bit bothered by that.
This comic is awesome! I came here from Sam and Fuzzy and I am -not- disappointed at all! Great work!
